FAQ

01How do the bottle shape, cap height and centre of gravity affect the box and insert design?

If the bottle's centre of gravity is in the middle and the weight is even, we suggest a paper tray or raffia filling to keep costs down. If the weight sits low, we use EVA foam or a moulded pulp tray.

02Which insert material holds a perfume bottle best: EVA, paper tray, corrugated, pulp or flocked?

EVA gives the best protection and cushioning and suits small batches, but it costs more. Moulded pulp trays are cheaper and grip the bottle well, with slightly less cushioning and a higher minimum quantity. Corrugated is the cheapest but protects least. Flocked inserts look refined and protect well, and can also be made in small quantities.

03How do I protect a glass perfume bottle from shocks and drops? How many layers of protection?

At least two layers of protection: the paper tray inside, and an outer box whose board is thick enough.

04Are there rules for shipping alcohol-based perfume, and what labels are needed?

The product is usually packed at the brand's own factory, and we can apply the markings that factory requires. Alcohol and fragile warning labels are normally needed.

05How are sample and discovery sets arranged so customers can see every fragrance?

We usually make a window-style box that shows the variety of the products, keeping the box design understated so the products stand out.

06Which box styles are common for perfume (lid-and-base, tuck-in, tray-and-sleeve, shoulder-neck, window), and how do they compare?

It depends on the product, size and material. With size, design and material all the same, price runs from highest to lowest: tray-and-sleeve, window box, lid-and-base, shoulder-neck, then tuck-in box.

07How should I choose the closure: magnetic, ribbon or Velcro?

Choose according to your brand positioning and budget. With size, design and everything else equal, cost runs from highest to lowest: Velcro, ribbon, then magnetic closure.

08Which finishes suit fragrance brands: foil, embossing, soft-touch, specialty paper?

All of them can be used. Foil stamping and specialty paper are the most common.

09Is there an eco-friendly option for perfume boxes?

Our paper boxes are made from virgin pulp and can use FSC-certified materials, and the inks are eco-friendly. Inserts can be moulded paper pulp instead of plastic trays, and pull tabs and tamper-evident seals can also be made of paper. Premium brands often set strict environmental requirements, and we can provide the relevant test reports.

10What are the MOQ, sampling time and lead time? Can I start with a small trial batch?

The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces. Sampling takes 3–5 days and production usually takes 15–20 days. If you are just starting out and want to test the market with a small batch, we can support that.
