Capacity depends on the weight of the paper, the base construction (such as a gusset or a base board) and how the handles are fixed, so there is no single figure. As a rough guide, kraft bags made with about 140–250 gsm paper and cotton rope handles are commonly rated for around 4–5 kg; heavier loads need a base board and reinforced handles. Tell us the weight of the product and we will specify the bag around it.

The handle can be knotted and fixed inside the bag with a reinforcement patch, or the holes at the top can be reinforced and the handle glued firmly in place. The heavier the product, the stronger the reinforcement should be.

Paper softens when it gets wet. A matt or gloss lamination adds water resistance, but a paper bag cannot be fully waterproof. If the bags will often be used in the rain, let us know so we can specify accordingly.

Paper bags are shipped folded flat, and the customer simply opens them out and uses them. No assembly is needed.

Fashion bags tend to be wide and flat, beauty bags smaller and taller with more refined finishing, food bags need food-grade paper, and gift bags put more weight on decoration. The exact size and material are set by your industry and product.

Kraft paper has a natural look and is strong and eco-friendly. White card gives clean printing. Coated art paper gives vivid colour and a smooth surface. Textured specialty paper looks more premium. Choose according to your brand style and budget.

Options can include rope handles, ribbon handles, twisted or flat paper handles, punch-out handles and handleless formats, depending on the bag structure and your project.

For heavier products a base board (bottom card) can be added to increase load capacity and stability.

The paper can be FSC-certified material, and the inks are eco-friendly. Premium brands often set strict environmental requirements, and we can provide the relevant test reports.

The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces. Sampling takes 3–5 days and production usually takes 15–20 days. If you are just starting out and want to test the market with a small batch, we can support that.
