FAQ

01What holds glass bottles, jars and cushion compacts securely in a cosmetic box?

We usually use foam (sponge) or shaped paper trays, because the product must be held very firmly in place. For lighter items, card, honeycomb paper or other simple fixing parts can also work.

02How are multi-piece sets arranged so the items do not knock into each other?

All of our inserts are custom-made to the size of each product, so every piece sits in its own cavity. We keep the layout attractive while making sure it stays safe.

03Liquids can leak or be affected by damp. How can the box help protect them?

We can use blister packaging that completely isolates the product from outside moisture, and add desiccant sachets inside the pack, giving double protection.

04How much cushioning space is needed, and does an export shipment need an outer carton?

Our cartons are rigid enough: if the final packed size does not change, our outer carton can be used as it is.

05Lid-and-base, drawer, magnetic flip-top or foldable: which suits gift sets and which suits retail display?

Lid-and-base and drawer boxes generally suit retail and display. Foldable and magnetic boxes are usually made larger, so they suit gift sets.

06How much do foil, embossing and magnetic lids add to the cost, and which are worth doing?

Foil stamping offers the best value for money. We currently recommend specialty paper, whose distinctive texture makes the design one of a kind.

07Do matt, soft-touch and foil finishes scuff in transit?

No, because our packing is careful. Items that scratch easily are each wrapped individually in an OPP bag or shrink-wrapped.

08Which insert material should I choose: EVA, moulded pulp, corrugated or flocked?

EVA protects and cushions well and can be made in small batches, but it costs more and can have a distinctive smell. Custom moulded pulp trays are a bit cheaper and hold the product firmly in the tray, though cushioning is slightly weaker and they need larger quantities. Corrugated is the cheapest and can also be made in small batches, but gives the least protection because it leaves more room. Flocked inserts are used mostly for cosmetics and accessories, protect well and can be made in small batches.

09Can eco-friendly materials still look premium?

Our paper boxes are made from virgin pulp and can use FSC-certified materials, and the inks are eco-friendly. Inserts can be moulded paper pulp instead of plastic trays, and pull tabs and tamper-evident seals can also be made of paper. Premium brands often set strict environmental requirements, and we can provide the relevant test reports.

10What are the MOQ, sampling time and lead time? Can I start with a small trial batch?

The minimum order quantity is 1,000 pieces. Sampling takes 3–5 days and production usually takes 15–20 days. If you are just starting out and want to test the market with a small batch, we can support that.
